Pleasantville Music Festival 2022 "Reveal"

How pleasant to get treated to the artist selections for the 2022 Pleasantville Music Festival (PMF) on a lovely Sunday evening hosted by PMF Director Bruce Figler at the Soul Brewing Company. After a two year hiatus -- due to what else but the COVID crisis -- the festival fans revved themselves up for the line-up reveal.
The packed house spilled out onto the sidewalk as excited festival fans mixed and mingled with pretty much only music on their minds. If this proves any indication of what's to come with the scheduled one-day event on July 9, 2022, sure look likes it'll erupt into a spectacular party!
Christine Chanel, an artist who played in the 2018 PMF Chill Tent Stage, provided the perfect live entertainment for the event. She sizzled with bluesy vocals and keyboard mastery, accompanied by her smooth-moving drummer and bassist. Notable numbers included "All Along the Watchtower (Jimi Hendrix, written by Bob Dylan) and Creep (Radiohead).
At 7:30P, the big moment arrived and Mr. Figler came forward. Surrounded by video screens on either side of the bar, he read off the selected performers for the three stages while short music video clips accompanied each announcement.

After the announcement, the beer continued to flow and a soothing buzz filled the hall. Christine Chanel kicked back in while some more daring fans even commenced dancing! A real pleasure for me to get in a few words with Mr. Figler. He hopes for an attendance of at least 4,000 for the July event. After a two year layoff, he believes more people than ever will eagerly participate in the festival and once again get their spirits lifted by the magic of music.
